In 2021, Child’s Play’s Chucky terrorized a new generation in his TV series. Chucky (such a brilliant term) was a hit with critics (91% on Rotten Tomatoes) and fans who loved the series’ continuity.
Season 1 began with Jake Wheeler, a teenage guy dealing with his sexuality, buying the possessed “Nice Guy” doll at a yard sale. Jake becomes the suspect in several bizarre murders, involving many of Chucky’s past victims.
The “coming of anger” show was lauded for confronting sexuality and identity while maintaining its horror. With such outstanding ratings, the killer doll will return, and a second season was confirmed in November 2021.
Chucky Season 2 Release Date
USA Network and Syfy renewed the show for a second season on November 29, 2021, and it returned on October 5, 2022. Lachlan Watson was chosen to play Glen/Glenda Ray in June 2022. The show’s third season was officially ordered on January 15, 2023.
