Invasion Season 2 Release Date: The first 10 episodes of the Apple TV Plus original series aired from October to December 2021, and the streaming service said the series would be back just before the exciting season finale.
All around the world, from Japan to the United Kingdom to Afghanistan and the United States, the repercussions of an alien invasion are studied in Invasion. Simon Kinberg, best known for the X-Men films, and David Weil, best known for the drama series Hunter, are the show’s co-showrunners.
After the show was renewed, Kinberg remarked, “I’m sincerely thankful to Apple for being so supportive every step of the way, and trusting us to craft a truly human, emotional alien invasion story.” […] For season two, we’ll be expanding our universe in intimate and massive ways, and I couldn’t be more thrilled.

Yes, Invasion has been picked up for a second season on Apple TV+. The renewal was confirmed by the network, which posted a video on their official Instagram account saying, “#Invasion has been picked up for a second season.” This Friday, watch the exciting end of Season 1.” Check out the following post:
Invasion Season 2 Release Date
Invasion, a show on Apple TV Plus, will be back for a second season in December 2021. The science fiction show’s premiere date, however, has not been set in stone.
Season one wrapped production in March 2021, and the show premiered seven months later, so we may expect a similar schedule for season two.
KFTV reported in May 2021 that filming for the second season of Invasion had begun in the United Kingdom and South Africa, and that it would continue until “late summer” 2022. Since then, there have been no rumours to the contrary, therefore we can safely assume that season 2 filming concluded by the end of August 2022.
Season 2 of Invasion would likely premiere in early spring 2023 at the earliest if it followed season 1’s post-production schedule.
Invasion Season 2 Plot Speculation

Invasion’s season 1 finale focused on what happened after the US government nuked the main alien ship, but according to the TV show’s announcement for season 2, the invasion will continue.
Ward sees what looks like another spaceship on the beach, and Mitsuki seems to see something scary on the JASA system. This suggests that there will probably be more space invaders in season 2.
Since Ahmed is dead, we can also expect season 2 to look at how his death affected his wife, Aneesha, and the rest of his family. There’s also the fact that Casper, who barely escaped death, has some kind of supernatural connection to the aliens. This will be very important to the story as it goes on.
In an interview with Collider, Simon Kinberg, who is in charge of the show, also gave hints about what to expect from season 2. “As we’ve talked about it and imagined it, there would be more characters as the seasons went on. He said that there would be more main characters.
“From Season 1, there would be a lot more side characters who would interact with our main characters.” There would be chances for our characters to get better, real challenges for them to face in terms of how they grow after season one, breakups, reunions, new loves, and lost loves. I’d like to find out more about a lot of things in future seasons.”
Invasion Cast Rumors for Season 2
We’ll probably see Mitsuki (Shiori Kutsuna) and Trevante Ward, who were still alive at the end of season 1 of Invasion (Shamier Anderson). As the invasion goes on, it’s likely that we’ll meet new characters. Also, Sheriff John Bell Tyson (Sam Neill) and Ahmed Malik (Firas Nassar) seem to be dead for sure, but Casper’s connection to the hive mind might be able to bring Tyson back, and Ahmed might show up in flashbacks.
- Golshifteh Farahani as Aneesha Malik
- As Trevante Cole, Shamier Anderson
- Shioli Kutsuna as Mitsuki Yamato
- Casper Morrow is played by Billy Barratt
- Luke Malik, played by Azhy Robertson
- Tara Moayedi as Sarah Malik
- Daisuke Tsuji as Kaito Kawaguchi
Season 1 of Invasion is now available to stream on Apple TV Plus. If you want to know more about the show, check out our interviews with Shaimer Anderson and Firas Nassar.
