Jack Ryan Season 3 Release Date: It would appear that the Prime Video TV series based on Tom Clancy’s most renowned figure was plagued by the standard production troubles. After two different people took over as showrunners during Season 3, the world went into lockdown because of a coronavirus outbreak.
Even before the first season of Jack Ryan began, star John Krasinski had already directed the successful horror film A Quiet Place, so it was only natural that he return to direct the film’s sequel.
Before the second season of Jack Ryan had even started, Prime Video has already ordered a third season. Aside from a few quick casting announcements, that was the last we heard about Jack Ryan season 3. However, Prime Video has now revealed a release date for the third adventure of the world-trotting CIA analyst.

Producer of Season 3 of Jack Ryan’s Show
Before he bowed out, All the Money in the World writer David Scarpa was slated to take over as Jack Ryan’s new showrunner. Afterwards, Paul Scheuring, who is best known as the creator of Fox’s Prison Break, was going to take over for Scarpa beginning with the third season, which was in the early stages of production at the time.
But Vaun Wilmott has taken his position as of late (Star Trek: Discovery) Carlton Cuse (Lost, Bates Motel), who developed the Tom Clancy revival idea for television with co-showrunner Graham Roland, stepped back from his day-to-day showrunner duties in 2019, as reported by Deadline. Cuse and Roland will both continue to serve in their executive producer roles.
Scheuring reportedly concluded he wasn’t a good fit for the showrunner role, and so he resigned from his position, as reported by The Hollywood Reporter (also, somewhat fascinatingly: he opted to go to grad school rather than run an Amazon Prime Video streaming show.) Vaun Wimott, the newest showrunner, collaborated with Scheuring on the aforementioned Prison Break. The Syfy series Dominion was also created and produced by him.
