In March 1973, Cavalier released Stephen King’s short story The Boogeyman. In 1978, King published his first short story collection after Carrie and The Shining became a hit.
Night Shift included stories that became movies including Children of the Corn, Cat’s Eye, Maximum Overdrive, Graveyard Shift, The Lawnmower Man, and The Mangler. The Boogeyman is another adaptation.
The Boogeyman Release Date
The Boogeyman opens in theatres on June 2, 2023.
That’s a major difference from the film’s original Hulu premiere. Disney has decided to release the picture via 20th Century Studios after good test screenings and perhaps motivated by Barbarian and Smile’s box office success.
