The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel Season 5 Release Date: Even though the Amazon Prime Video drama-comedy ended its fourth season with a big explosion in March, there are still some important questions that need to be asked. How is Midge’s(Rachel Brosnahan) love life going? Will she and Lenny Bruce (Luke Kirby) finally get together? How will Joel’s family continue to react to the fact that his girlfriend Mei (Stephanie Hsu) is pregnant with his child?
Will Rose (Marin Hinkle), who works as a matchmaker, keep going even though some old-timers have told her to stay out of their business? And if Susie Myerson (Alex Borstein) doesn’t do more crazy things next season, we’re going to start making plans over here.
In other words, we really want to know if the show about our favourite Jewish comedian will get a fifth season. There are answers, thank goodness, even if they may not be the ones we were hoping for.
Will the Marvelous Mrs. Maisel Have a Fifth Season?
The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel Season 5 Release date: Put your hands together, because The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel will have a fifth season. But unfortunately, this is also the last season of the popular Amazon drama. The official news came out in February, and fans were not ready to say goodbye to the show.
“Yes, the fifth season! But please have more than 200 of them! This cast is so beautiful, funny, real, and perfect that I hope they never break up. Oh, the words! One fan said, “Oh, the acting!” on an Instagram post about the news. “I don’t want it to end! I want to know more about Midge and Lenny,” said someone else. “Say it ain’t so,” pleaded someone else.
All good things must come to an end, which is sad for all fans. Rachel Brosnahan wrote on Instagram on November 5 that the show’s fifth season was over and that she was sad about filming the last scenes of the drama-comedy.

She wrote, “That’s the end of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel as a whole.” “This was a bottle of lightning. A cast, a crew, and the people who made the show all got to go back in time together for 5 years. It made me change. I’ll always be grateful. I will say more later, but for now… Thanks, and good night.”
Alex Borstein also wrote about her time working on the show on her own Instagram account.
“The end,” she wrote in the post’s title on November 5. “Maisel is no more. I told myself I wouldn’t get too close and wouldn’t fall in love. But here I am, with a broken heart and little pieces missing here and there… But if and when she fixes it, maybe the empty spaces in between will remind me of what’s missing. What used to be. The Wonderful Mrs. Maisel used to be. And it really was wonderful.
Who will be on The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel in season 5?
Based on what happened at the end of season 4, the following people are likely to be back for season 5:
- Midge Maisel is played by Rachel Brosnahan.
- Alex Borstein as Susie Myerson, Midge’s manager
- Michael Zegen as Joel Maisel, Midge’s ex-husband
- Tony Shalhoub as Midge’s dad, Abe Weissman, played by Midge
- Marin Hinkle plays Midge’s mom, Rose Weissman, on the show.
- Kevin Pollak plays Joel’s father Moishe Maisel.
- Caroline Aaron plays Joel’s mother, Shirley Maisel.
- Stephanie Hsu as Mei, Joel’s girlfriend
- Luke Kirby plays Lenny Bruce, a comedian who might be interested in Midge.
- Kelly Bishop plays Benedetta, a rival matchmaker for Rose.
- Alfie Fuller as Dinah Rutledge, Suzie’s assistant
- Mike Carr, played by Jason Ralph, is a late-night booker.
Milo Ventimiglia, who plays Jack on This Is Us, is also coming back after making a short appearance in season 4. People may remember him as “Handsome Man,” the married guy Midge slept with at the end of last season. People were excited to see more of the actor from Gilmore Girls, which wasn’t a surprise.
Well, he was seen on set with Rachel Brosnahan in June, and there’s a good chance we’ll learn more about his character’s backstory, including his name. The show’s executive producer, Daniel Palladino, told TVLine that the second part of “Milo and Rachel” will be longer and better. “Yes, we will learn his name.”
But don’t think that this is the only Gilmore Girls star who will show up this season. Kelly Bishop will also come back as a regular cast member.
What Will the Marvelous Mrs. Maisel’s Fifth Season Be About?

The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel Season 5 Release date: We don’t know much about what season 5 of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel will be about just yet. But Amy Sherman-Palladino and Daniel Palladino gave The Hollywood Reporter some hints about Midge and Lenny’s journey in March.
Amy told the outlet, “Knowing that season five would be our last and that we only had so much ground to play on helped to free up a little bit of what we did with him personally.”
She went on: “And it felt like it fit with Midge’s journey, since she’s trying so hard to find the right way for herself — whether it’s the right way or not — and with the goal she set for herself this year. She felt like, “It’s my way or the highway.” It felt like she needed to be shaken up by someone who knew her and respected her.”
Also, in an interview with People in June, Kevin Pollak talked about why he thinks season 5 is a good time to end the show.
“Amy and Dan made it clear from the start, when we were filming the first season and no one had seen anything but the pilot, that this is a five-season show if we’re lucky,” he told the magazine. “They saw a story they wanted to tell or an arc they wanted to follow. They could see the ending they wanted.”
Fans will also find out more about Joel’s current relationship, as well as Midge and Lenny’s. Caroline Aaron, a member of the cast, says that this news will cause some trouble in season 5.
She told Express in September, “Well, I don’t think she’ll be happy with the choice.” “The best thing about Shirley, I think, is that she just wants her kids to be happy. I think she will try very hard to get Mei to become Jewish and to make sure that this child is raised as a Jew, both of which are very important to her.”
During the last season, they won’t be the only ones who will be taken for a ride. Alex Borstein told fans a little bit about what they can expect to see in the new episodes as he walked the red carpet at the 2022 Emmy Awards.
She told The Hollywood Reporter, “Season 5 is fun for Susie because she’s really growing and branching out and getting a little ahead of herself and always trying to catch up to her own success.” “So she makes a lot of mistakes, which is funny. It’s fun to play a person with flaws.”
